What I have achieved

I am a member of Act Up! Newham Community Performance Group. Last year we wrote and performed a play called 'Changing Attitudes' about the barriers that disabled people face in society. I used some stories from my own life as basis for the play.

I am a member of the Blue Sky Actors at Stratford Circus. I have performed many times with them. I was Prince Charming in a pantomime last year and kissed Snow White to wake her from her sleep. I recently performed Alice in Wonderland and taught the rest of the cast a song in signs that we included in the performance.

Last year, despite the lack of effective support, I still achieved a lot on the Performing Arts Course, especially when I was able to take my own PA to support me. I took part in the performance of Aesop's Fables in Stratford Circus. I sang in the choir in almost every Act and I danced as the Spirit of the Forest. I danced as a Cat in a performance of the musical Cats and I used signs to say my lines in the performance of Oedipus.

I am a member of lots of performing arts groups.

I am a member of Newham Youth Choir and have performed with them many times. This summer we went to Barnsley to sing with Barnsley Youth Choir at the Barnsley Civic Centre for the Opening of the Olympics.
